1. Standard Returns — Caps & Gowns
We accept returns on standard (non-customized) caps and gowns under the following conditions:
- Items must be returned within 30 days of the delivery date
- Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original packaging with all tags attached
- A Return Authorization Number (RA#) must be requested before shipping any return — email mark_boyer@milestonegrad.com to request one
Refunds for approved returns will be issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days of receiving the returned item.
2. Exchanges and Sizing Issues — Perfect Fit Guarantee
If your cap or gown does not fit according to the measurements you provided at checkout, contact us within 30 days of delivery. We will work to resolve the issue through an exchange or store credit at no additional shipping cost to you.
To initiate a sizing exchange, email mark_boyer@milestonegrad.com with:
- Your order number
- Photos clearly showing the fit issue
- Your measurements at the time of the original order
3. Customized and Personalized Items
The following items are not eligible for return or refund unless they arrive damaged or with a manufacturer defect:
- Custom-printed graduation announcements
- Personalized or engraved class rings
- Items with custom school colors, emblems, or embroidery
- Any item produced to school-specific specifications
If a customized item arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 30 days of delivery and we will arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.
4. Damaged or Defective Items
If any item arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 30 days of delivery with:
- Your order number
- Photos of the damage or defect
- A brief description of the issue
We will provide a full replacement or refund at no cost to you, including return shipping if applicable.
5. School-Coordinated Orders
For orders distributed through a partner school, the 30-day return window begins on the date you receive your item at the school distribution, not the date Milestone Grad or Jostens ships the order. Contact us at (858) 486-2020 if you are unsure of your delivery date.
6. Items We Cannot Accept for Return
In addition to customized items listed in Section 3, we cannot accept returns on:
- Items that have been worn, washed, or altered
- Items returned without a valid RA# from us
- Items returned more than 30 days after delivery
- Digital downloads or digital content
7. How to Initiate a Return
- Email mark_boyer@milestonegrad.com with your order number and reason for return
- Receive your RA# from our team (typically within 1–2 business days)
- Ship the item(s) to the address below, with the RA# clearly marked on the outside of the package:

Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error or a defective product, in which case we will provide a prepaid return label.
8. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days of receiving your returned item. Refunds are issued to the original payment method (Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, or Google Pay). Please allow additional time for your bank or card issuer to post the credit — typically 3–5 additional business days depending on your financial institution.
