Our Commitment
Milestone Grad is committed to ensuring that milestonegrad.com is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
We believe that every student deserves equal access to graduation products and information — regardless of ability — and we take our accessibility obligations seriously under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act.
Current Conformance Status
We are actively working to bring milestonegrad.com into conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Steps we have taken or are currently implementing include:
- Reviewing the site for conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards
- Ensuring keyboard navigability throughout the site, including product pages, cart, and checkout
- Providing descriptive alt text for product images and non-decorative graphics
- Maintaining sufficient color contrast ratios across the site design
- Ensuring all form fields — including account creation, checkout, and contact forms — are properly labeled for screen readers
- Making error messages clear and descriptive for users relying on assistive technology
Known Limitations
We are currently working to resolve the following known accessibility gaps:
- Some older product and school-store images may not yet have fully descriptive alt text — we are updating these on a rolling basis
- Certain WooCommerce checkout elements generated by third-party plugins may have limited screen reader compatibility — we are working with our plugin providers to address this
We are committed to resolving known issues as quickly as resources allow and will update this statement as improvements are made.
Third-Party Content
Our site uses third-party tools and services — including WooCommerce for our store, Stripe for payment processing, and PayPal — that we do not fully control. Some of these third-party elements may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are not responsible for the accessibility of third-party services, but we actively encourage all our technology partners to prioritize accessibility.
