1. How Graduation Orders Work

Most graduation regalia products sold through milestonegrad.com — including caps, gowns, tassels, and related accessories — are manufactured by our product supplier. This means your total delivery time consists of two stages:

  1. Manufacturing time — the time our manufacturers take to produce your order (varies by product and season)
  2. Shipping/transit time — the time the carrier takes to deliver the finished product

These two stages happen sequentially. Please plan accordingly, especially if you have a fixed graduation date.


2. Free Shipping Threshold

Orders of $250 or more qualify for free standard shipping within the contiguous United States, as shown at checkout.


3. Shipping Methods and Estimated Transit Times

Once your order has been manufactured and released for shipment, the following carrier transit times apply:

Transit times are estimates provided by the carrier and begin from the date of shipment, not the date of order. We are not responsible for carrier delays caused by weather, high volume periods, or other factors outside our control.


4. School-Coordinated Delivery (Most Cap & Gown Orders)

For orders placed through a partner high school program, your graduation regalia will typically be delivered to your school rather than shipped directly to your home address. In these cases:

  • Your school coordinator will notify you of the distribution date and pickup process
  • Delivery timing is coordinated between MilestoneGrad and your school administration
  • Contact us at (858) 486-2020 if you have questions about your school’s distribution schedule

5. Direct-to-Home Orders (Cap & Gown Only Orders)

For cap and gown orders placed independently through the Cap & Gown Only page and shipped directly to your home:

  • Allow adequate lead time before your graduation date — we strongly recommend ordering at least 4–6 weeks before your ceremony
  • Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking confirmation email with carrier and tracking number
  • If you have a firm graduation date, contact us at (858) 486-2020 after placing your order so we can flag it for priority coordination

6. Where We Ship

We ship to addresses within the contiguous United States (the 48 contiguous states). We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, or international addresses. If you need delivery outside the contiguous US, please contact us at mark_boyer@milestonegrad.com to discuss options.


7. Order Tracking

Once your order ships directly to you, you will receive a shipping confirmation email from Postmark with your carrier tracking number. Track your order at milestonegrad.com/my-account/orders or directly on the carrier’s website.

For school-coordinated orders, tracking is managed through the school distribution process. Contact your school coordinator or reach us at (858) 486-2020 for status updates.


8. On-Time Delivery Commitment

We are committed to ensuring your graduation products arrive before your ceremony. To support this:

  • We coordinate directly with our manufacturers on production timelines for school partner orders
  • We flag time-sensitive orders for priority handling when notified of your graduation date
  • If a delay occurs that is within our control, we will contact you promptly and work to resolve it

Please note: MilestoneGrad is not responsible for delays caused by manufacturing schedules, carrier disruptions, or circumstances beyond our control. Our on-time delivery commitment applies to our coordination and processing role, not to third-party manufacturing or carrier transit times.


9. Undeliverable Packages

If a package is returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect address provided by the customer, the customer is responsible for re-shipping costs. We will contact you to confirm the correct address before reshipping.


10. Lost or Stolen Packages

If your tracking shows “delivered” but you have not received your package:

  1. Check with neighbors and household members
  2. Contact the carrier directly with your tracking number
  3. Email mark_boyer@milestonegrad.com — we will assist in filing a carrier claim

We are not responsible for packages confirmed as delivered by the carrier. We recommend contacting your local post office or carrier facility if a package is marked delivered but not received.


11. Sales Tax

California sales tax is applied to all orders shipped to California addresses, calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and the applicable rate.
